The leap into vacuity

The leap into the vacuity
“That child dared to leap from the multistory building,
When it was under fire as it was on September 11 in our city,
because his father was  at the bottom ready to hold him.”
The preacher spoke of faith indeed.
“Sheer exaggeration, anybody would do that in such eventuality.”
the skeptics among the mob squinted.
“The God so loved the world and his only Son
Was send to the world to sow the seeds of
faith, hope and love to save the mankind”
The zealous pastor resumed his talk.
“Absurd, Is George Bush a Christian with love and hope
And has he loved Iraqis and Muslims at large? ”
A wounded citizen from Bagdad asked.
“Faith in oneself, others and God –but don’t forget,
Faith in Jesus only saves you”
What about the atheists, aborigines, and majority of others
Will they not be saved?
“Faith is a leap into vacuum and believing in what is invisible,
Unknown, intangible, exist here and there”
The speaker concluded closing the Bible.
“I like to have such a faith but is it pragmatic?”
Each one in the dispersing crowd whispered.
