The need to be prepared in life...

A successful man has the following qualities: a smile that doesn’t die; patience, fearless mind; love; self-confidence; love for everybody—Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

A Zen Master was passing through a village. He was known to people as "The Laughing Buddha"—he used to laugh continuously and make the whole village laugh. He taught the art of laughing. So people forget and overcome all miseries and burdens that they carry. But sometimes he would sit under a tree with closed eyes not laughing, not even smiling; completely calm and cut off from the world.
A villager asked: "Why are you not laughing?
He opened his eyes slowly and said, "I am preparing."
The villager could not understand. He asked, "What do you mean by "preparing?"
He said, "I have to prepare myself for laughter, I have to give myself rest. I have to forget the whole world so that I can come again rejuvenated and can again laugh."
Preparations is a must prior to any activity, small or big. It is the readiness or willingness to accept a challenge. And it is a sign of commitment or responsibility on one’s part. We need to prepare to face life—every day dawns with preparation to welcome life. Preparation does not eliminate failure or success instead it helps us to get ready mentally and psychically.
