Fear is the Root Cause of All Worries

Yes. It is so true. At grass root level analysis of any suffering or misery, we would find this demon-fear. A newborn baby is born without fear because it was living in a world of fearlessness in the womb of its mother. (The abortion attempts are exceptions to this fact) But gradually, it develops fear, fear of different kinds. The first kind of fear that one is affected with is the fear of physical pain. If you touch the fire, you will be burnt. If you hit your body on something hard or sharp,  you will have physical pain. If you are sick you will have physical pain. As a result a baby develops the fear of pain associated with all that infringes pain to his body. Eventually, he acquires the skill avoid such painstaking situations. But the fear of disease would still be there.
Then he develops the most intense kind of fear- the fear of loss. It can be the fear of loss of love, parental care, food, comfort, money, fame, dear and near ones, job, recognition, and the list goes on. We have thousands of examples in our day- to -day lives where we suffer from this fear of loss.
Another kinds of fear are ‘fear of time’,’ fear of death’, ‘fear of existence’. We are afraid of tomorrow. We are scared to face tomorrow due to its uncertainty. We have a fear of the past. Past memories are haunting us. They nag us. Those guilt feelings and failures’ in the past de-motivate us and make us scared. Fear of death is another common fear- everyone is affected with it. Fear of existence is also associated with it. The struggle for existence becomes a matter of great fear in the modern world. In this modern competitive scenario, this fight for existence cause much mental turmoil to man.
Therefore, the solution to all our miseries is irradiating this fear.  We need to put an end to this fear. How can we do that? The possible solution to the fear of loss is practicing detachment. Don’t be too much attached to anything. Don’t think that what you possess, what you have are eternal or permanent. Consider them as transitory realities. Make use of them with detachment. Another solution is living in the moment. You must live here and now. Don’t brood over the past. It has gone already. Don’t be anxious about future, it is yet to come. On the other hand, be in the present moment, enjoy each moment in its maximum. Each day will have its own worries . Therefore, be detached. Be fully involved and immersed in the present moment.
Once we wipe out this fear from our lives, we will be able to experience happiness in our lives. We will be able to enjoy the beauty of  nature and love of dear and near ones around us. You will start exploring the world within and the world outside. You will realize that you are already enlightened and you need nothing else to make you fulfilled. You will find that you are happiness. Happiness lies in being rather than in having, doing, and feeling. You will realize the power of being. Each moment will be a bliss for you. You will experience heaven right now as you are. It has nothing to do with what you should be, what you will be and what you were. It only matters what you are now. And you simply are as you are…
Be happy without  fear and thus without miseries!!
